Privacy policy
Pathbox was built to use as little personal data as possible.
Your location data is used for one thing only: to track a location and make it available to whoever holds the private link. It is not used for any other purpose, and it is not sold.
Personal data of Pathbox users
Pathbox processes the location data needed to provide its service — tracking a device and sharing that location with the holder of the link. Pathbox does not require an account, a name, or an email address to use the app.
How long is data stored for?
Location history is retained only as long as needed to show recent tracks, and you can have it deleted at any time (see below). If you want your data deleted, email us at caspar@keepthescore.com with your link. Self-serve deletion from within the app is on the way.
Where is my data stored?
When the app has internet access, the device’s location is sent to servers run by Firebase. Firebase is owned by Google, which acts as a data processor under the GDPR and processes the data on our behalf.
Analytics
This website uses Fathom Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Fathom receives general, aggregated information such as device, browser, referrer, approximate location, and which pages were viewed. We use it only to understand and improve the website.
Your rights
You can contact us with requests to exercise your rights under European data protection law, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Reach us at caspar@keepthescore.com.
Updates to this policy
From time to time we may revise this policy. We recommend checking it occasionally, and we’ll notify users in the app about any major change that would negatively affect their interests.
